Davies was called to be the first full time resident pastor, after having conducted a successful series of evangelistic meetings. After using the church on Cowen Street as a center of worship and service for 87 years, the congregation adopted the slogan, "Arise and Build" in 1974, and construction began on a new building on South Randolph Street. The new church home was dedicated in the summer of 1975. A church that started out with only 7 members now grown to Approximately 100 active members. |
